Hi! I want to tell you first that anything you write for me is automatically amazing and my new favorite thing and I treasure it, etc. I debated even doing a dear author letter (I haven't in the past) because I know it can be annoying to have too much in the way of prompting, and it can cloud your inspiration or whatever. But then again, it might be helpful to you, so I figured I'd do one and you can ignore it to your heart's content, if that's what you want.
Daria
Daria, Trent, and Jane go on a road trip, Kerouac-style. Daria/Trent completely welcomed and encouraged, but gen would also be fine.
I am such a Lane family fangirl. Daria, Jane, and Trent are my favorites and I love the different dynamics and relationships between the three of them. Something from Jane's PoV would be really cool just because we don't get to see it as much as Daria's and she definitely has a unique perspective of her own. Any mentions of Jane's art and/or Trent's lyrics = A+. As for ships, I only really ship Daria/Trent. I tend not to really ship with Daria because...it's just not that kind of show, for me. I'll just love witty, clever dialogue. Gen is awesome. As for the road trip, I just thought it would be lolzy. And who doesn't love good road trip?
House of Mirth
I would just really love to see Lily and Selden end happily, preferably together.
Selden was my unabashed favorite in that book, but I deeply adored Lily too and I just wanted one thing to go right for her. One thing! Anything! I would like to see her realize that her happiness is more important than money, or to see her take charge of her life in a real way. I really just want Lily to be happy. Her scenes with Selden are some of the best in the book, IMO, with all the brilliant dialogue and just-below-the-surface longing. I'd love to see some of that in fic, too. Something from Selden's PoV would be fantastic also.
Worried About the Boy
Anything, so long as there's lots of fashion involved. I do love George/Kirk, though. And any added Marilyn is a plus.
I loooove Boy George. Love. Like, total fangirl, read his book, etc. I'm also a bit of a fashion/makeup junkie. George/Marilyn misadventures would be fun, though I don't particularly ship them, and lots of Kirk is always excellent. I tend to favor pre-Culture Club George, back when he was still roaming around essentially being a club kid. I love that struggle, you know, where he knows he's meant for something but has no idea what it is yet.
The Philadelphia Story
Tracy wonders sometimes what life would be like if she'd married Mike instead.
I really love Dexter (because, you know, Cary Grant) but I do think Mike was perhaps better suited to Tracy - and I'd love to see that explored. Would they be better off than Dexter and Tracy? Worse? Would Dexter and/or Liz present a problem? Does Dinah like Mike? Do they talk more cute walks to the library? Anything!
And just in general, in fic, I love to see non-main PoV explored. I love gen but I also love shippy things. Het, slash, and femslash are all totally fine by me. I love dialogue and details, I prefer things to be character-driven than plot-driven. All sorts of normal stuff, really. I'm exceedingly easy to please.
