When I make mixes, I usually am inspired by one song and then build the rest of the mix around it. For this, it was Hole's "Doll Parts," which is a great song off a great album and is so totally Blair. I wanted the rest of the songs to be a mix of old timey standards sung by soulful ladies and straight up 70s British glam. Which is weirdly the music I associate with Blair. It ended up being a complete mishmash of things, because I cannot stick to a theme to save myself. Meant to echo my last Blair mix a bit. I like to keep in genre for certain characters.
Topic-wise, I guess this is supposed to be very s1 Blair vs s4 Blair (with some other seasons sprinkled in, of course) - how much she's changed, and the effect her relationships have had on her. Gross amount of Chuck, but I really tried to keep his stupid mug out of the graphics as much as possible. Goes hand-in-hand with my recent Blair fic a bit, too.
